A man spends one ciquième of the contents of his wallet, then still one cinqième of what remained.
He spent 36,00$ in all.
Question: How much money had it before making its expenditure?
Answer:
100$
The man leaves with 100$ and spends 1/5… 100 -1/5 = 80$ remainder and 20$ spent.
Then he spends still 1/5 ....... 80$ -1/5 = 64$ remainder and 16$ spent.
In all, there remains to him 64$ and he spent 36$ (20$+16$) as specified in the problem.

Why diamond is so hard?
Diamond, just like graphite is only made up of carbon atoms.
Only the atomic space structure distinguishes the jewels from vulgar pencil lead.
Indeed, it is the structure of the atoms which confers on the crystal its physical characteristics, optical…
Because a network of correctly arranged atoms, in tightened rows, brings closer the atoms from/to each other; support electrostatic interatomic attraction (had with the electrons) and the tensegrity i.e. the distribution on all the structure of the mechanical constraints.
Diamond is hardest of materials because it is a crystal. Graphite is exhausted because the carbon atoms are arranged there by chance.
Diamond is the only one with being able to cut out glass without breaking it, to erode the rocks to dig tunnels or drillings of oil.
One even manages to manufacture diamonds of synthesis thanks to extreme pressures and temperatures but these diamonds do not have any values, they are only tools with the service of the glaziers…

Why the lightning fall does on the Earth?
Because the Earth is not neutral electrically! Continuously, our beautiful blue planet is discharged by the cosmic rays and is reloaded by the lightning.
Thus the Earth carries overall a load opposed to that contained in the clouds. The lightning comes us from collisions of clouds comprising of the ions: electrically charged molecules.
When electrostatic potential energy (i.e. quantity of loads) stored in the clouds is sufficient, it occurs a violent discharge (100 000 Amps) and short (40 000 km/s), i.e. very energy.
However in normal weather, the air is insulating, i.e. its energy of ionization (the energy which it would have to be provided him so that it can yield electrons because it is them which have the electric elementary charge; the current is in fact a displacement of electrons) is extremely important.
But the energy emitted by the lightning is enough important to make become the air an electric driver! It is said that the tension of breakdown of the air is reached, it leads the tension then resulting from the potential difference electric between the low part of the clouds and the surface of the ground.
